Schengen Visa Services in Dubai, Starting With the Question Most Applicants Get Wrong

Three countries, ten days, one visa. Simple enough, until somebody asks which consulate you should apply to. Get that wrong, and the file comes back before anyone has even read your bank statements.

The Schengen system does not let you choose. If one country holds the bulk of your trip, that country decides your application. If the nights are split evenly, the country you land in first takes it. Your itinerary, in other words, is not just a travel plan. It is the thing that determines who judges you and how quickly you get an answer.

HAB Tourism works that out before anything else, from our office in Al Garhoud.

HAB Tourism provides Schengen visa assistance in Dubai for short-stay Type C visas covering the full Schengen Area. Our service starts from AED 690 per person, with typical processing of 10 to 15 working days.

The Appointment Is the Real Bottleneck

Nobody warns you about this part. The paperwork can be perfect and the trip can still fall apart because there is no slot.

Demand from Dubai for France, Italy, Spain and Germany runs heavy, especially before summer and the winter holidays, and appointment availability at the visa centres moves week to week. Applications must be completed online before a slot can even be booked, so the sequence matters. We start the file early, watch for openings, and if your dates are tight we will tell you honestly whether they are achievable or whether a different route through your itinerary makes more sense.

Six to eight weeks ahead is comfortable. Two weeks ahead is a conversation about changing your flights.

What the 90 in 180 Rule Actually Means

A Schengen visa gives you up to 90 days of stay in any rolling 180-day period across the member states. Not 90 days per country. Not 90 days per calendar year. It is a moving window, counted backwards from any day you are in Europe.

This used to be tracked with passport stamps and a certain amount of guesswork. It is not any more. Europe’s Entry/Exit System records entries and exits digitally with fingerprints and a facial image, so days used are calculated automatically and an overstay follows your travel record. If you travel to Europe more than once a year, this is worth understanding properly before you book. We work it out with you.

SCHENGEN

Documents, and the Two That Decide Everything

The standard pack:

  • Passport valid at least three months beyond your return, issued within the last ten years, with two blank pages
  • Copy of your UAE residence visa and Emirates ID
  • Photograph to Schengen specification
  • Travel medical insurance meeting the minimum coverage requirement
  • Six months of stamped bank statements
  • Salary certificate and employer NOC, or trade licence if self-employed
  • Flight and hotel reservations for the full itinerary
  • Cover letter setting out the purpose of the trip

Two items carry more weight than the rest. Your financial evidence has to show that the trip you have described is affordable from money that is plainly yours, held steadily rather than deposited last week. And your itinerary has to hang together, matching your dates, your bookings and your stated reason for going.

Also worth knowing: consulates generally want reservations rather than fully paid tickets, and several require your UAE residency to remain valid for around three months beyond your return. We check yours before you start collecting anything.

What Our Schengen Visa Assistance Covers

  • Working out the correct consulate from your itinerary
  • Completing the online application accurately
  • A document checklist built for your nationality and your case, not a generic list
  • Cover letter and itinerary preparation
  • Travel insurance meeting Schengen requirements
  • Appointment booking and monitoring for earlier slots
  • Full review of the file before submission
  • Tracking through to decision and passport collection

Our service fee starts from AED 690 per person. The consulate charges its own visa fee, set by EU regulation and identical whichever member state you apply to, plus a service charge at the visa centre. All of it is non-refundable if the application is refused, which is exactly why the file is worth building properly the first time.

Do You Even Need One?

If you hold an Emirati passport, no. Emirati nationals travel to the Schengen Area visa-free for short stays. A separate pre-travel authorisation for visa-exempt travellers is being introduced, so check the current position before flying, but it is not a visa and the process here does not apply to you.

For everyone else, including the large majority of UAE residents, the Type C visa is the route. Which one you need depends on your passport, not your residency.
